Solar Performance and Shading Analysis
3D shading studies and performance modelling for new designs and underperforming systems.
Overview
Shading is one of the biggest causes of underperformance. We model nearby buildings, trees, parapets and roof plant — plus distant horizon shading — to quantify losses and design around them. For existing systems we analyse monitoring data to find out why output is lower than expected.
Why it matters
A small shadow on one module can drag down a whole string. Understanding shading early means better layouts, better equipment choices and realistic yield forecasts.
What's included
- 3D shading model of the roof or site
- Near- and far-shading (horizon) loss assessment
- Optimiser or micro-inverter suitability advice
- MCS shade-factor calculations for domestic systems
- Performance-ratio review of existing systems
- Recommendations to recover lost generation
What we need from you
